VOI Colonna Village

Good Pros: The location is amazing. Beach water is crystal clear. I suggest you wake up early and see the sun rise from the beach as it is very pretty. There is a coffee station for freshly made coffee during breakfast which was great. Cons: The entertainment is in Italian and not for English speakers. Options at dinner are limited but overall OK. You are allocated the same table for all of your stay. In general I would say the stay is on the pricey side given what you get. We only stayed for 2 nights

Excellent vacation Pros: Fantastically gorgeous beach and seaside place. Quite calm hotel. Good and helpful staff. Cons: The cleaning of rooms is not good enough. Once, they just shovelled the dust and dirt under the bed instead of wet cleaning. The VOI Concierge cooperating with ERGA transfer is really non-punctual. They charge you for a service, but it won't be provided in time.

Beautiful property, but breakfast and dinner a nightmare Pros: Property is amazing! If you like a peaceful place to relax far from the city. Beautiful private beach and great seaview from our room. 2 swimming pools. They take you on a golf cart to the beach and back for free, just need to wait at reception or in front of the beach. Breakfast and dinner included. Brazilian waitresses were great, very polite. Cons: First and most important - they offer you soap to take your shower in small capsules, size of a froot loops cereal. Imagine your soap is the size of a nail and when wet dissolves, contained in a paper package. That is absolutelly non-sense. You take a showers and that thing does not last a second. So please buy a soap bar if you are going to stay in this hotel. The room had a strong smell of smoke. Everyday even openning the door to ventilate. We suspect someone was smoking in the toilet and the smell was coming through the exhaust fan. Breakfast and dinner you have to be very early as when open the doors, because they run out of food very quick, they take ages to put back and you are left with nothing sometimes. Quality is not great. From 3 dinners, only the last was good. First 2 were terrible. They don’t organise it in a queue for people to politely serve and move. It is just chaotic with people coming from all sides. Not a great experience to be honest. Some staff were very rude, one of the waiters who was replacing food next to the fish was pushing people, shouting and complaining. An absolute nightmare. That guy should be fired, not compatible with a hotel staff. Bed was too soft and not comfortable. They ask for €20 deposit for the safe key. They should provide that for free. We were 3 in the room and the safe was so small, barely fit 1 wallet.

Great location but expensive considering the conditions of the hotel. Pros: Location is great! Cons: Hard to navigate around with suitcases. The entrances felt a little unclean to apartment. The apartments need renovations. The swimming pool has too much chlorine. You have to pay deposits for towels and pay everytime you need to change them which is inconvenient as you have to go to the main reception to do so. Food and drink is fairly expensive. Buffet food is ok, a bit limiting!
